Based on Telefónica’s Secure Technology, REBOTNIX has implemented the GUSTAV SIM in the first REBOTNIX Low Energy Datacenter. REBOTNIX and Telefónica Germany now offer the business world an alternative to Amazon AWS in the European region.
How does the GUSTAV SIM work?
GUSTAV-SIM enables an encrypted connection in a simple and easy way as soon as the SIM card is inserted in a modem or smartphone from REBOTNIX.
Each SIM card receives – without additional software – a communication interface with a duration of 10 years and a data volume of 1,500 MB in Germany. The standards 2G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT and LTE-M are supported.
The “GUSTAV-SIM” is of course compatible with all certified REBOTNIX hardware components. Our SIM card allows a connection starting from REBOTNIX Edge computers, hardware sensors and smartphones via a logically separated private network – and this completely isolated from the public Internet.

Our REBOTNIX infrastructure is also absolutely transparent for our customers. They can implement the Edge Servers into their network, directly at the production site and without public IP address, into any intranet.
The routing can be individually controlled and autonomously changed by the customers at any time.
REBOTNIX offers additional services for the customer’s network. The basic protection of data traffic can be used to establish additional components in the company’s own network.
Low energy in every component

REBOTNIX operates its own high performance servers in its data center in Europe. The servers offer various services for data processing in accordance with the GDPR. Alternatively, the customer can also use the server technology at his own premises. Install house network. The communication between mobile network and endpoints are secured by the private keys of the customers. Neither REBOTNIX nor Telefónica employees have access to these private keys.
About our hardware
Per CPU and GPU modules we are between 3 – 30-watts power consumption. In the large modules with ARM CPU and GPU, which have up to 32 GB RAM, we consume from 10 – 50 watts. The power can be adjusted in real-time per module by the customer without rebooting. With the focus on artificial intelligence, it is even possible to increase or reduce the neural networks during runtime.
All our modules are based on ARM64 with embedded GPU´s. The modules are delivered in half inch format. This saves additional space in the rack. Each module is always delivered with an internal SSD (solid state disk), optionally between 256 and 1024 gigabytes.

Our GUSTAVi hardware includes internal or external 2G, 4G, 5G LTE Modems. It´s perfect made for GUSTAV-SIM and IoT communications. Proven hardware which is used in the industry.
Further services
In the globally available mobile network, the SIM cards can only address predefined destinations.
All connections to third-party software, hardware chips or services that could send data unnoticed in the background are impenetrably blocked. This is achieved by application-specific network segmentation in Telefónica infrastructure, which forwards the request directly to the REBOTNIX Low Energy Datacenter in Europe.
